The collision of the visual, the physical, the visceral and the emotional experience within a tiny sliver of the temporal world is to make a memory. Why then, do these collisions occur at some moments, not at others? How do these moments become a part of our psyche?
How is memory laid down? If we took a cross section, would we see the periods of scarcity, of abundance, of pain and of joy, the way a tree reveals its memory of seasons? Why are there lean periods of vague recollection and other of graphic, detailed clarity? What unfathomable system decides what is to be kept or discarded, retrieved or lost?
